Steve Jobs Is A Rock Star
I've been wondering why Macintosh fans are so into Steve Jobs. I think it's because he's the geek-equivalent of a rock star; in particular, he's a sort of John Lennon figure. Crass, my equating the man who gave us strawberry fields and a bed-in for peace with the man who gave us bondi blue and a deliciously lickable GUI? Perhaps. But I'd venture that Job's Macintosh has actually given the world more goodness than Lennon did in his lifetime (calculated using a patented seat-of-my-pants algorithm).

Jobs is a business man. Lennon was a musician. We know that John wrote and played music. The rumor is Steve doesn't know how to write code.
