Lancaster's Post Office mural: a desert scene with Joshua trees
The 1940 post office in Lancaster, California (above) has this WPA mural inside. According to the site, the mural is titled “Hauling Water Pipe through Antelope Valley” - oil on canvas, by Jose Moya del Piño (1941).

Yeah, it's a neat mural. I would stare at it when the post office line has 20 people and it's staffed with only 2 windows.
I don't think it's oil on canvas. It's painted directly on the wall itself. If you look at the lower right corner, someone has punched a cable though it for a security camera. So I guess we are damaging art for security.
